Stringer makes it two in a row at the Mile!

UKSom driver Darren Stringer solidified his championship lead by dominating the Brew Town 150 at the Milwaukee Mile. Stringer was fastest in practice and qualifying, capturing the pole with a lap time of just 20.342 seconds or just over 160 mph.

RACER to use Hosted Racing for iRacing events

Starting this month, RACER will begin running some events using the iRacing platform. There will be two open testing sessions and two "fun events" during March. All this will be leading up to the 2010 RacerAlex Cup Formula Festival in April.

It''s a triple-header weekend for RACER admins. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will see the rFactor server hosting racing events. The events include the Friday-Nite FIGHT!, the rescheduled conclusion of the Simtona 500, and round 2 of the "Road to Simdy" IndyRACER Series.

Tight Finish in round one of RACER Endurance Series

Simraceonline.com driver John Bacho came from behind in the last two minutes to win Saturday''s RES 2 Hours of Silverstone presented by USRG in his #777 Epsilon Euskadi. DHR GP drivers Teo Bubicic & Damian Dainhumain had dominated the race until that point and had lapped up to 2nd overall. With just under 5 minutes to go, Damian suffered a mechanical problem and lost his front nose and was forced to pit. Despite the best efforts of his crew, Damian exited the pits just as Bacho was passing the pit exit. Bacho held on for the last two laps to achieve the overall and P1 victory at the inaugural round of the RACER Endurance Series.

Despite losing the overall lead at the very end, DHR GP managed to hold on for the P2 class victory in their Courage-Judd. JRM and SimCar driver Jason Reineri finished second in a flawless race. FTW Mike Fertitta somehow managed to hold onto a 3rd place finish despite a early drive-thru penalty for avoidable contact with a Torrent Motorsports 911 GT3 RSR, and being hit by Torrent Motorsport Porsches on two occasions. His team owner Spadge Fromley is reportedly replacing Mike for Watkins Glen with another FTW driver Kevin Going.

Sole Silverstone GT1 entrant Benjamin Chong won the GT1 class in his #666 VDB Motorsports Corvette C6.

Marco Cortesi & Fabrizio Mauri held off an early Torrent Motorsports on slaught to come home victorious in GT2 and 7th overall in their #80 Powerman Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. Torrent Motorsports drivers were fast in qualifying and race but the race saw none of the Torrent cars finish.

The series moves on to Watkins Glen in a month and hopes to gain more cars and will see the entrance of the PSR broadcast team for the 2 Hours of The Glen presented by Zippo.

Simdy500: Let the Bumping Begin!

As of today (April 21st), 2009 Simdianapolis 500 entires sit at 33 which it the size of the starting field. With more than a week left for new entries, its expected that more drivers will enter the 2009 running. Meaning that from this point on - its for real!

Simdianapolis 500 Entries Flood In Over First Three Days

RACER began taking official entries on April 10th and in only three days 21 car/driver combinations have been entered into the 2009 Simdianapolis 500. RACER is anticpating a large entry list and its fully expected that bumping will be high drama during time trials on May 10th.
